Artist in residence Georgia Munnik

For the next two months we have in residence the young visual artist and talented aspiring artistic perfumer Georgia Munnik who is currently pursuing a career in artistic perfumery, allowing her to develop a practical methodology for scent-scaping within the frame of her practice-led PhD in Visual Arts at Stellenbosch University

Georgia set up a work studio at our head quarters in Cape Town and will spend time in our perfume library and with our extensive collection of specialised literature, documenting material and scientific information relevant to her PHD practice and her future career as artistic perfumer 

Georgia has a masters degree from Tromsø Academy of Contemporary Art (NO) She has shown artworks in solo and group exhibitions and attended artist residencies in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Sweden and Switzerland

Her first attempt as artistic perfumer resulted in a fragrance called PHENOTYPE 13, with a limited number of vials available for purchase from AKJP Studio, Cape Town
